SC Cleared Azure Engineer (digital forensics functions)

We are seeking an experienced SC Cleared Azure Engineer to support a highly secure and technically advanced environment within a specialist digital investigation capability. This role will involve designing, building, and supporting secure, scalable Azure environments used in mission-critical operations.

You will work closely with engineering teams, architects, and operational stakeholders to deliver robust cloud infrastructure, automation, and secure platform services aligned with enterprise best practices. Experience supporting environments related to digital investigation, cybersecurity , or digital forensics functions would be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and support Azure-based infrastructure across IaaS and PaaS services.

  • Deploy and manage Azure services, including compute, networking, identity, and storage.

  • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code deployments using ARM, Bicep, or Terraform.

  • Develop and support CI/CD pipelines to automate platform deployment and configuration.

  • Manage security and identity governance, including RBAC, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and access control best practices.

  • Monitor and optimise cloud environments using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and associated tooling.

  • Support operational stability, performance tuning, and platform improvements.

  • Produce clear technical documentation and collaborate with architects, project teams, and stakeholders.

  • Contribute to maintaining secure, compliant cloud environments suitable for sensitive operational workloads.

Skills & Experience

  • Due to the nature of the project, the successful candidate will have a valid SC Clearance before starting.

  • Strong hands-on Azure engineering experience across IaaS and PaaS services.

  • Experience deploying and supporting enterprise Azure environments.

  • Practical knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform).

  • Scripting experience with PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python.

  • Understanding of Azure security best practices and native security tooling.

  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and performance optimisation in Azure.

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and automated deployment pipelines.

  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience supporting highly secure or regulated environments.

  • Background working with digital investigation, cyber security, or digital forensics teams.

  • Experience operating within large enterprise or government-aligned environments.

  • Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, or similar.
