SC Cleared Policy & Standards Lead

We are seeking an experienced SC Cleared Policy & Standards Lead to define, align, and embed cloud security policies and standards within a secure government cloud capability. This role ensures policy compliance with Defence Digital and wider HMG governance while enabling scalable and interoperable cloud adoption.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct an initial policy discovery and gap analysis

• Develop and maintain cloud policies and standards aligned to Defence Digital governance

• Ensure compliance with JSPs, GovS 007, and the MOD Security Policy Framework

• Produce onboarding, service management, and operational security standards

• Lead stakeholder workshops to validate and socialise policy outputs

• Report progress, risks, and RAG status to delivery leadership

• Provide assurance that policies are enforceable and governance-aligned

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong working knowledge of MOD and HMG policy frameworks (JSPs, GovS 007, MOD SPF)

• Proven experience authoring security, operational, and cloud policies

• Experience supporting secure cloud adoption across OFFICIAL and SECRET domains

• Excellent written communication and policy drafting skills

• Confident stakeholder engagement and facilitation capability

• Experience working with Defence Digital governance boards
