SC Cleared Senior Azure DevOps Engineer - Azure/AKS/CI/CD/Public Sector
We're supporting a globally recognised technology consultancy delivering major digital transformation programmes across secure UK public sector environments.
This is an opportunity for a highly experienced SC cleared Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to join a large-scale cloud and platform engineering programme focused on resilient, secure, citizen-facing digital services.
You'll play a key role in designing, delivering, and operating enterprise-grade Azure platforms, driving automation, improving operational performance, and supporting modern DevOps delivery practices within complex environments.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing and delivering Azure-centric DevOps and platform solutions
- Building and supporting scalable, secure, and highly available Azure environments
- Managing and improving CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Working extensively with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM
- Supporting cloud operations, incident resolution, and service improvements
- Collaborating across engineering, security, operations, and delivery teams
- Contributing to agile delivery, sprint planning, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Producing operational documentation, runbooks, and technical artefacts
- Supporting secure delivery aligned to modern cloud security standards and best practices
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on Azure DevOps engineering experience within enterprise environments
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure, cloud operations, and hybrid infrastructure
- Commercial experience with Kubernetes/AKS
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps tooling
- Infrastructure as Code expertise using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
- Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jira, and modern delivery tooling
- Strong understanding of cloud security, identity, networking, and governance
- Experience operating within ITIL-aligned environments
- Proven troubleshooting and incident management capability within production systems
- Excellent stakeholder communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience supporting large-scale transformation or public sector programmes highly desirable
