Security Cleared (SC) Platform Engineer (Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics)

We are seeking an experienced Security Cleared (SC) CDS (Customer Delivery Services) Platform Engineer to join a global IT services organisation on a secure government programme. This role involves delivering monitoring and observability solutions across complex enterprise environments to enhance system reliability, performance, and operational insight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate monitoring and observability requirements into actionable configurations using tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, and AppDynamics.

• Deliver full-stack observability solutions, including infrastructure metrics, synthetic monitoring, log analytics, and application performance monitoring (APM).

• Provide live service support, including incident response and assistance during key business events (some out-of-hours support may be required).

• Collaborate with architects and delivery teams to integrate monitoring capabilities into design and test strategies.

• Develop and maintain dashboards, alerts, and reports that support proactive service management.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen monitoring capability and automation.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Platform or Monitoring Engineer in large-scale, complex environments.

• Strong understanding of observability principles and SRE methodologies.

• Hands-on experience with Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, and synthetic monitoring tools.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Certifications:

• Splunk Core Certified User/ITSI Certified Administrator

• Dynatrace Associate Certification

• Cisco AppDynamics Associate Performance Analyst
