Security Vetting Officer

We are supporting our client, a leading IT services and solutions company, in their search for a detail-oriented Security Vetting Officer to join their secure operations team in Hertfordshire.

Candidates must hold SC Clearance.

Contract: 3 months

The role

• Security Vetting Officers play a critical role in national and organisational security. This role is pivotal in safeguarding the organisation and its customers by ensuring that only appropriately cleared individuals gain access to sensitive environments.
• Process and progress security clearance applications.
• Monitor and manage government security clearances.
• Conduct background checks and validate applicant information.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across multiple secure platforms.

About you:

• Experience in a a similar role.
• You will be confident using computer systems, including Microsoft Office.
• Strong experience in Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication skills
• Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
• A proactive mindset, excellent organisational skills, and a commitment to continuous learning.
• Experience in administrative or compliance-focused role
• Hold a Degree
