SharePoint SME - SC Cleared/SC Eligible

We are currently working with a global technology consultancy and supporting the delivery of a major security and collaboration transformation programme. As part of this engagement, we are looking for an experienced SharePoint SME to join the team on a long-term contract basis.

Please note: Candidates must either hold active SC Clearance or be eligible to obtain SC Clearance.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping how a large enterprise collaborates securely with external partners, helping define best practices, improve user adoption and support the rollout of stronger information-sharing controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and document SharePoint principles, standards and best practices, particularly around permissions, external sharing, guest access, access reviews and site governance.
• Act as the SharePoint Subject Matter Expert, advising on secure collaboration solutions and validating SharePoint-specific design decisions.
• Work closely with business teams, security specialists and technical SMEs to support implementation planning and adoption activities.
• Produce practical guidance, training materials and user-facing documentation to enable safe and effective use of SharePoint.
• Deliver or coordinate training sessions, Communities of Practice and champion networks to drive adoption of secure collaboration behaviours.
• Support impact assessments, business readiness and change activities relating to new collaboration controls.
• Provide hands-on support during pilots, testing and early life support, helping resolve SharePoint-related issues and user challenges.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with SharePoint Online, including:
  • Permissions and access management
  • External sharing and guest access
  • Site governance and collaboration controls
  • Access reviews and time-bound permissions
• Ability to bridge technical delivery with business change and user adoption.
• Experience producing guidance, training materials and user-facing collateral.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across security, engineering, communications and change teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and experience supporting live operational environments.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and in plain English.

Desirable Experience

• Experience with Microsoft Purview, M365 Information Protection and DLP.
• Experience working on secure collaboration, information governance or cyber/security transformation programmes.
• Experience supporting pilots, testing and early life support activities.
• Experience working within highly regulated or security-conscious environments.
