TeamCentre Configuration Engineer

We are seeking an experienced PLM & Configuration Engineer to support a secure engineering programme within the UK defence sector. This role focuses on Configuration Management and PLM governance, supporting engineering data, processes, and tool adoption across programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Configuration & Data Management (CDM) and PLM governance frameworks, policies, and procedures

• Ensure compliance with relevant standards including DEF STAN 05-57, JSP945, EIA-649C, ISO and AS standards

• Provide functional input to resolve technical, project, and programme conflicts related to PLM/CDM

• Support adoption of an integrated digital engineering and PLM environment

• Create and maintain documentation for configurations, customisations, and processes

• Develop and deliver user guides, work instructions, and training materials

• Deliver end-user training and ongoing support on Teamcenter Unified

• Work closely with engineering and project teams to embed best practices

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong administration skills with excellent attention to detail

• Solid understanding of Configuration Management principles and defence standards

• Experience working with PLM systems, ideally Teamcenter Unified

• Experience developing training materials and delivering user training

• Logical, structured mindset with strong documentation skills

Desirable

• Deeper expertise in Teamcenter architecture, modules, and functionality

• Experience supporting engineering or product development environments
