This role sits within a delivery enablement function supporting multiple technical and delivery teams across a large-scale, secure programme environment. The focus is on improving how work is delivered—ensuring processes are clear, practical, consistently applied, and continuously improved.
This is not a traditional project delivery role. We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter who takes ownership, shows initiative, and proactively drives improvements. The right person will naturally bring structure to ambiguity and help teams work in a more consistent and efficient way. Processes, tools, and frameworks can be fully trained.
You will act as a central point for delivery governance and operational alignment, working closely with TechOps, PMO, Architecture, Commercial, and delivery teams. You will also support SAO assurance activities and SAP-related processes, helping ensure smooth operational delivery across the programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define, maintain and continuously improve end-to-end delivery processes and governance frameworks
- Ensure alignment of processes with organisational, customer, and regulatory requirements
- Drive continuous improvement across delivery teams through feedback, lessons learned and performance insights
- Maintain and enhance process documentation, templates, playbooks and toolkits
- Support governance, assurance, audit and lifecycle compliance activities
- Identify process gaps, risks and inefficiencies and recommend practical improvements
- Support SAP activities including PR raising and timesheet/suspense management
- Provide guidance and practical support to Project Managers and delivery teams
- Facilitate workshops, onboarding sessions and ways-of-working communications
- Support embedding of assurance requirements within delivery processes
- Produce reporting and insights for senior stakeholders on process maturity and compliance
Essential Requirements:
- Strong self-starter mindset, high initiative and ability to work independently
- Proven ability to take ownership and proactively improve processes and ways of working
- Experience in PMO, delivery support, governance, operational excellence or process improvement roles
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across technical and delivery teams
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, agile and evolving environments
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- Ability to operate without direct authority and still drive alignment
- Experience within defence, aerospace, secure government or regulated environments desirable
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Power BI (dashboards, reporting or operational insights)
- Exposure to delivery metrics, reporting or performance tracking
- Understanding of Agile delivery environments and governance frameworks
