Solution/Integration Engineer - Bristol

We are working with a leading defence company seeking Solution/Integration Engineers to join their lab-based development environment in Bristol.

Contract & Permanent | On-site | SC Clearance Required

The Role:

  • Integrate hardware and software components into tactical communication systems
  • Support the Solution Architect with system and sub-system design
  • Develop, test, and debug communication systems
  • Support the Solution Tester in defining and executing test plans
  • Collaborate across projects to deliver innovative solutions

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Tactical radios (HF, VHF, UHF, MESH, MANET) in dismounted settings
  • TCP/IP Networking fundamentals, especially for MANET-focused systems
  • Windows/Linux management systems for Android device provisioning
  • Integration/testing of ATAK plugins and applications
  • Agile development experience, with tools such as JIRA and Confluence
  • Basic knowledge of JSON, Command Prompt, and PowerShell
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Hands-on deployment and troubleshooting, occasionally in the field
  • Occasional travel for training and surge support

Desirable:

  • Ex-military or experience working within a military environment
