Synergize Consulting are now hiring for a Product Delivery Manager to work at a leading defence client, on a contract basis.
The successful candidate will work in a pivotal leadership role, driving the transition from document-centric to authoritative model-centric engineering - ensuring end-to-end traceability from capability requirements through architecture, interfaces, analysis, simulation, verification, and compliance evidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Taking accountability for delivering and continuously improving the digital engineering capabilities that support a System of Systems (SoS) workstream.
- Own and evolve the SoS digital capability, including architecture modelling, integration, configuration/change control, variant management, and digital thread integration.
- Define SoS reference architectures and technical baselines aligned to enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.
- Deliver integrated toolchains enabling full life cycle traceability across capability, operational scenarios, system allocations, interfaces, verification, and test evidence.
- Translate business and engineering needs into a clear roadmap, prioritising backlogs, and delivery plans aligned to programme increments.
- Lead stakeholder engagement, supplier coordination, vendor performance, and service management across complex, multi-partner environments.
- Establish governance for models, data standards, baselining, versioning, and auditability.
- Drive adoption through training, model governance, and model-centric reviews.
Experience Required:
- Significant experience delivering MBSE/SoS digital capabilities ideally gained in either the aerospace, defence, or other regulated industries.
- Strong expertise in UAF/DoDAF-aligned architecture modelling, SysML/UML, IBM DOORS NG, interface management, configuration control, and digital thread integration.
- Proven experience managing complex toolchains, suppliers, and cross-domain integration in safety-critical environments.
- Service Management (eg, ITIL) and Project/Programme Management (eg, PRINCE2, APM, SAFe) certification or equivalent experience.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, financial management, and delivery leadership skills.
- Due to the nature of the client, it would be an advantage for candidates to hold, or be eligible and willing to undergo, a certain level of security clearance (SC).
