SAP Enterprise Architect

Our client, a leading global technology consultancy, is expanding its SAP capability across the UK and Europe as part of several major digital transformation and S/4HANA modernisation programmes. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced SC Cleared SAP Enterprise Architect to join a growing SAP Consulting & Solutioning team, shaping large-scale SAP landscapes and driving complex transformation for major enterprise customers.

Please note: this role is a hybrid-based, though occasional on-site workshops may be required depending on client engagement.

The role focuses on defining end-to-end SAP enterprise architectures across multi-module S/4HANA programmes, cloud transformation journeys, and RISE with SAP adoption. Therefore, the successful candidate must demonstrate deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA solution architecture, extensive experience shaping large-scale SAP programmes, and a strong background working directly with senior business and IT leadership teams.

Additionally, experience designing hybrid architectures, integrating SAP with non-SAP platforms, and driving governance across complex multi-vendor environments would be highly advantageous. Exposure to SAP BTP, SAP Cloud ALM, intelligent automation, and emerging AI/ML capabilities is also beneficial.

What you will be doing:

• Defining and leading SAP enterprise architecture strategy across multiple customers and industries
• Shaping S/4HANA and Cloud transformation roadmaps including RISE with SAP
• Leading discovery, exploration, and design activities across multi-module SAP landscapes
• Owning end-to-end architecture design including integration, security, data, and platform layers
• Providing governance, risk management, and architectural assurance across delivery engagements
• Defining integration approaches with non-SAP systems, cloud platforms, and middleware
• Evaluating client requirements, current architectures, and business challenges to shape proposals, bids, and delivery models
• Supporting pre-sales activities including RFPs, RFIs, solution design, and client presentations
• Driving architectural standardisation, best practice adoption, and reusable patterns
• Collaborating closely with programme directors, technical architects, functional leads, and senior client stakeholders
• Providing leadership and mentoring to SAP delivery teams and solution architects

We're looking for people who have:

• Extensive experience as an SAP Enterprise Architect across large-scale transformation programmes
• Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA, Cloud strategy, and RISE with SAP operating models
• Strong understanding of enterprise IT architecture including hybrid cloud, data, integration, and security principles
• Proven experience shaping SAP roadmaps, governance models, and transformation strategies
• Strong background working directly with CIOs, CTOs, Heads of SAP, and senior business leaders
• Expertise in SAP interoperability with non-SAP applications, APIs, middleware, and integration patterns
• Experience with TOGAF, SAP Activate, and Agile methodologies
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and architectural leadership skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capability
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on architecture and design oversight
• Ability to work independently or as part of a high-performing architecture team

Nice to have:

• SAP or Enterprise Architecture Certifications (e.g., TOGAF, SAP Certified Architect)
• Experience with SAP BTP, AI/ML, automation frameworks, or Cloud ALM
• Experience contributing to solution accelerators or reusable architectural frameworks

Due to the nature of the project, the successful candidate will have a valid SC Clearance or be willing to undergo.
