SC Cleared AWS Architect

We're seeking an experienced AWS Data Solution Architect to join a major digital transformation programme delivering secure, cloud-based data platforms within a highly regulated government environment.

This role will suit candidates with experience designing and delivering large-scale AWS data solutions across public sector, defence, central government, or other security-conscious environments.

**Hybrid-based: 2-3 days on site per week in either Bristol, Salisbury, Abbey Wood or Corsham.

Contract is deemed INSIDE IR35,

Day rate: market rate

Duration: 6 months +

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Data or Solution Architect delivering enterprise AWS data platforms.
• Strong hands-on expertise with:
• AWS S3
• AWS Glue
• AWS Lake Formation
• Amazon Redshift
• Athena
• EMR
• Experience designing modern data lakes, lakehouse architectures, data integration pipelines, and analytics platforms.
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, metadata management, and data architecture best practices.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation or AWS CDK).
• Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps practices and cloud platform engineering.
• Excellent stakeholder management and architecture leadership skills.
• AWS certifications

Desirable

• Experience working within Defence, Central Government, National Security or other secure public sector environments.
• Experience supporting AI, Analytics or Data Science platforms.
