A leading Defence prime in Bristol is seeking a Technical Architect with deep expertise in Network / Telecoms architecture, particularly 3GPP standards to play a pivotal role on a high-profile, mission-critical programme.
This is a standout opportunity to influence secure, large-scale communications capability within a complex Defence environment.
What We're Looking For
Extensive experience working as a Technical Architect within the Network/Telecoms domain.
Knowledge of architecture frameworks (Ideally TOGAF/MODAF/NAF)
Solid understanding of secure system design principles and cyber security standards
Knowledge of 3GPP technical standards
Confident shaping architectures within Agile/SAFe delivery environments
Able to mentor/coach and support within the technical team
Any knowledge of TETRA/ESN, mission critical comms software and Architecture certifications would be beneficial
Desirable: Experience with TETRA / ESN, mission-critical communications software, or recognised Architecture certifications.
What You'll Be Doing
Defining and evolving architectures that balance customer needs, secure design principles, and long-term strategy
Shaping divisional and line-of-business technology roadmaps
Leading technical reviews, trade-off analyses, and risk assessments
Mentoring Architects and Engineers across the community
Supporting business-winning activities, including bids and proposal development
Championing best practice, reuse, and model-based design approaches
