Data Engineer needed with active SC Security Clearance and strong Power BI experience.

6 Month Rolling Contract based in Leeds (Hybrid). Start ASAP in September 2026.

Hybrid Working - 3-4 days/week remote (WFH) + 1-2 days/week working on-site in Leeds. Paying up to £(Apply online only)/day (Inside IR35).

A chance to work with a leading global IT transformation on a large-scale Government project:

  • In-depth Power BI expertise, including datasets, semantic models + data modelling.
  • Experience of working with SQL based data sources.
  • Ensuring Power BI models + reports are well-structured + aligned to upstream curated data sources.
  • Analysing / maintaining Power BI datasets, semantic models + reports.
  • Ensuring clean separation between data processing + reporting.
  • Refactoring Power BI models to consume curated + upstream data sources.
  • Ensuring business logic is appropriately implemented upstream rather than embedded in reports.
  • Validating report behaviour, measures + refresh processes following data model changes.
  • Power BI Copilot AI-assisted tooling + Government / Public Sector experience preferred.
  • SC Security Clearance is essential for this contract.
