£400/day (Outside IR35)

Transmode Network Engineer needed with strong XTM and DWDM networks experience. 6 Month Rolling Contract. Start ASAP in September/October 2025.

Hybrid Working - with 75% remote working (WFH), plus occasional travel to sites in London (Paddington).

Working with a global IT Consultancy on large-scale network solutions projects for a Telecoms end client.

Key skills, experience + tasks will include:

• In-depth XTM (Cross-Connect Transport Module) and DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) optical network systems expertise.
• Managing / optimizing transport networks, ensuring high performance, reliability, and evaluating the impact of service cessation on network operations and infrastructure.
• Designing, implementing + maintaining DWDM and XTM network systems for robust data transmission.
• Monitoring network performance, troubleshooting + resolving transport networks issues.
• Defining network requirements + creating technical documentation including network design layouts + operational procedures.
• Network monitoring, network management + technical support.
