Are you an experienced legal professional looking to make a meaningful impact across health, social care, and education? We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join System C and support our business through a period of transformation and growth.

The role As Senior Legal Counsel, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, supporting a wide range of commercial and corporate legal matters. You will take a leading role in complex contract negotiations and play a key part in shaping legal and commercial processes across the organisation.

What you will be doing

  • Lead high-value contract negotiations with public sector customers
Support contract renewals, amendments, and approval processesPartner closely with sales and bid teams on commercial opportunitiesProvide legal advice to senior leadership on a range of mattersAdvise on procurement frameworks, including central and local government agreementsSupport dispute management, including risk assessment and litigation considerationsProvide guidance across IT contracts, including IP, licensing, and service agreementsContribute to compliance by identifying and managing contractual riskSupport the General Counsel with governance, reporting, and M&A activities

What we are looking for

  • Qualified legal professional, ideally a Solicitor
Strong experience in commercial contract negotiationBackground in public sector or healthcare, or similar regulated environmentsExperience with IT contracts, licensing, and data protection conceptsStrong attention to detail with clear and effective written communicationProven ability to manage complex and competing prioritiesConfidence working with senior stakeholders and external advisersInterest in developing others and contributing to team growth
