Electrical/Mechanical Inspector will be based at our Barnstaple site. This role does require being onsite 4.5 days a week.
The salary for this role is up to £32k, depending on experience.

What you'll be doing Inspection of sub-contracted castings, machined parts, fabrications, PECs, harnesses, electrical cabinets, and electrical sub-assemblies
Inspection of internally manufactured assemblies, checking against wiring diagrams, cable schedules, mechanical drawings, and parts lists
The raising of electronic defect reports and provision of inputs into FAIR reports
To carry out insulation and continuity checking as required
Inspection of termination, crimping and soldering to IPC standards
There may be requirement for offsite inspection
Any other duties within reason as required by the business

The skills you need Should have experience in a precision electro/mechanical manufacturing environment
Must be capable of a high degree of accuracy and numeracy
Experience of calibration requirements and procedures
Must be capable of good communications, both written and oral
Should be self-motivated and able to work with the minimum of supervision
IPC training for wiring and pec assembly manufacture would be an advantage
