Workday FINS Programme Lead

Role: Programme Lead

Contract Type: Contract (Outside IR35)

Duration: 6+ months

Location: Central London (3 days per week onsite)

Our client is urgently seeking an experienced Workday Finance Programme Lead with a strong track record of successfully delivering Workday Fins implementations end-to-end. The project is already in-flight, and this individual will play a critical role in driving it through to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess the current project plan and identify opportunities for improvement
• Lead end-to-end project management activities, working closely with the finance team
• Provide clear, timely project updates to the senior leadership team
• Act as the primary point of contact for the Systems Integrator and third-party partners
• Enhance and maintain the existing project plan
• Identify, track, and mitigate project risks
• Design, coordinate, and deliver all testing activities

Essential Experience & Skills:

• Proven experience delivering a Workday Finance implementation through to go-live in a hands-on project leadership role
• Accountant qualification or proven experience of optimising finance processes
• Ability to communicate effectively with the accounting team
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
• Proactive and self-driven, with the ability to anticipate issues and take initiative
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
• Demonstrated change management experience
