Job Role

We have cabling engineering positions available, ranging from engineer through to Senior Level Roles. The Salaries depending on your level of experience will range between £31,000.00 to £34,000.00 - on top of this there is an additional option for overtime. You will also be provided with a company van and fuel card. 31 days annual leave including bank holidays.

You are required to work on your own initiative, unsupervised, and to deadlines, both individually and as part of a team. You will need to display an ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical staff and customers.

Responsibilities Structured Cabling Engineers

• Structured Cabling related installations - Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, telephony and fibre optics.
• Assume a lead role if required on multi-personnel installations.
• Preparation and understanding of site-specific Risk Assessments, on occasion as required.
• Completion of all project-related engineer’s documentation, on occasion as required.
• Be the point of contact and liaison with customers during installation 
• Preparing and pricing quotations for small projects
• Attending on-site surveys and onsite meetings 

Skills and Qualifications

• Be able to demonstrate experience and understanding of structured network cabling and installation.
• Flexibility of working hours.
• Full and valid UK driving license.
• City & Guilds Fibre Optic Cabling in an Internal Environment or equivalent (Desirable)
• City & Guilds Fibre Optic Cabling in an External Environment or equivalent (Desirable)
• City & Guilds Copper Cabling in an Internal Environment or equivalent (Desirable)
• Excellent PC Skills, including Microsoft office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Hold a ECS/CSCS card and Asbestos Awareness certification.
• Hold an IPAF card (Desirable)
