Level 4 Public Relation and Communication Apprentice - Taylor Woodrow - Hs2 Old Oak Common

You will be part of the communication team for the HS2 Old Oak Common station, an exciting project. As an in-house communications apprentice, you will contribute to the production of multi-media communications materials, including the preparation and issue of team newsflashes, project newsletters, and posters.

Role

Communications:

  • Contribute to the production of high-quality communications materials on the project, including the preparation and issue of team newsflashes, project newsletters, and posters
  • Attend relevant meetings and community events to ensure that all communications and community relations activities are planned and delivered within required timescales
  • Act as a brand champion and manage the project and HS2 brands, ensuring appropriate guidelines are followed, cascading guidance down to the project team and wider supply chain
  • Co-ordinate communications input to the project and partner company intranet sites promoting good news stories and site milestones
  • Learn to understand audience needs and develop relevant and timely communications, tailoring as necessary
  • Support the communications and stakeholder team in arranging site visits and project events for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the Collaboration team to develop internal communications on the project such as presentations, posters, strategy documents
  • Work with the collaboration lead to facilitate workshops with the project team which brings together all the different teams working on the project

Training

  • Training will be on-the-job, combined with skills and knowledge based workshops, e-learning and personal development coaching
  • The apprentice will gain a Level 4 Public Relations and Communications apprenticeship qualification
  • There will be an independently assessed End Point Assessment by the Aim awarding organisation in the last three months of the apprenticeship programme
  • Once this qualification has been achieved, the apprentice will be eligible to apply for full PRCA membership
  • Apprentice will also attend Apprentice Induction and Personal & Development workshops
  • Apprenticeship Scheme has been designed kick start your journey towards becoming an industry expert
  • You will get hands on experience and tailored training to support you every step of the way. Mentor Allocation and guidance; Additional training be provided; Involvement in Communications projects 
  • We are looking for a long-term relationship with our apprentices and we have a long-term career structure in mind, whereby we see the apprentice developing into senior roles within our business as it grows
