Apprentice Machining Technician
Technic Engineering are seeking to employ an enthusiastic and hardworking person as an Apprentice Machining Technician. We are looking for someone who enjoys both practical and academic work, with an interest in engineering.
Role
As an Engineering Apprentice with Technic Engineering Ltd, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience while working with advanced manufacturing technology and skilled engineering professionals. This is an exciting opportunity to develop practical engineering skills and build the foundations for a rewarding career in the industry.
You will:
▪️ Learn how to set up, operate and monitor state-of-the-art CNC machining equipment
- Develop the skills to read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD designs and manufacturing specifications
- Produce precision-engineered components while working on real projects for customers
- Gain experience of industry-standard quality checks, machining records and production documentation
- Work within a professional engineering environment, learning best practice in health, safety and manufacturing excellence
- Take pride in maintaining an organised, safe and efficient workspace
- Receive support and guidance from experienced engineers who will help you develop your technical knowledge and practical skills

Training
The apprenticeship training is delivered through a combination of workplace learning and regular college attendance. This training will teach you the knowledge, skills and behaviours set out in the Level 3 Machining Technician. On completion the apprentice will receive Pearson BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Machining). Functional Skills in Maths and English may also be required depending on current level.
