About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Middleware Integration Specialist to join a high-profile defence project in London. You will design, develop, and maintain middleware solutions to enable seamless communication between heterogeneous systems. This is a freelance, on-site role requiring candidates with proven expertise in advanced middleware technologies and protocols.
Candidates must be freelance contractors and have Security clearance or eligible for Security clearance due to the nature of the programme
Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust middleware solutions to integrate complex systems.
• Implement and support middleware protocols such as OSLC and ReqIF for reliable data exchange.
• Assess existing architectures, recommend integration strategies, and implement best practices for scalability and security.
• Troubleshoot and optimize middleware components, collaborating with development and operations teams to ensure high-performing integration platforms.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Proven experience with middleware design and development in complex environments.
• Expertise in OSLC, ReqIF, or equivalent middleware protocols.
• Strong knowledge of integration best practices, scalability, and security in middleware solutions.

Additional Information:

• Defence sector experience highly desirable.
• This role is on-site in London.
