IT Apprentice

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:To develop skills and knowledge while providing technical support to end-users across various sites, including Keighley, Romania, Mexico, and India, under the supervision of experienced team members.

Role

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Taking ownership of tasks and ensuring they are completed to a high standard
  • Keeping IT support tickets up to date, accurately logging progress, resolutions, and any follow-up actions
  • Troubleshooting basic hardware, software, and network issues, contributing to timely resolutions
  • Assisting with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment, such as desktops, laptops, and printers
  • Performing routine IT maintenance tasks, including software updates and antivirus scans
  • Participating in IT projects, such as system upgrades and deployments
  • Collaborating with the IT team to learn and implement IT policies and best practices
  • Documenting IT processes and configurations to support knowledge sharing
  • Liaising with external vendors and service providers as part of the procurement and support process

Training

  • Velocity apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry experienced training team
  • Using their expert knowledge, they will provide the skills necessary to succeed in the workplace and to expand future career prospects
  • Throughout the apprenticeship, learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their programme
  • The role offers long-term security and the opportunity to progress into a permanent position
