Job Description
Join our dynamic team as an AWS Solution Architect, where you will play a pivotal role in providing business leadership and strategic technical direction for our clients. As a key member of the Presales Solutions team, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining relationships both internally and externally with AWS. Your expertise will guide our Sales, Practice, and Delivery teams on strategy and AWS solutions, contributing significantly to our customers' journey towards digital transformation.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic technical direction and business leadership for customers.
- Build and maintain broad relationships with AWS and TEKsystems Global Services partners.
- Coach and guide internal teams on strategy and AWS solutions.
- Identify, scope, and create solutions and proposals that encompass technical approach, best practices, implementation, team structure, pricing, and contracts.
- Advocate strongly for customers while balancing business needs.
- Deliver technical webinars and speak at public events.
- Guide development teams in adopting best practices for AWS data architectures.
- Produce detailed architectural documentation, data flow diagrams, and operational guides.
- Stay informed about AWS innovations and emerging data and GenAI technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- Minimum 8+ years' experience in Information Technology or Professional Services; 12+ years preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years' hands-on experience in a professional services organization.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud (IAaS, PaaS, SaaS) and architecture models.
- Proven experience in designing and deploying data solutions and architectures on AWS.
- Strong knowledge of data modelling, ETL processes, SQL, and Scripting languages such as Python.
- experience with Big Data technologies and data visualisation tools.
- Understanding of MLOps and DevOps practices and infrastructure as code.
- Valid AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Data Analytics certification preferred.
- experience with AI/Gen AI/ML services such as SageMaker, Bedrock, Lex, Comprehend, Transcribe.
- experience with architecting and implementing data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehousing solutions.
- experience in implementing security standards and data governance policies within AWS environments.
- experience developing effort/cost estimates, service pricing, writing statements of work, and reviewing/contributing to client contractual agreements.
- experience working with enterprise clients across the UK and Mainland.
- Outstanding presentation and writing skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
- Ability to work effectively in agile and cross-functional internal teams.
