Contract Deployment Engineer

We are seeking a Contract Deployment Engineer II (CDE II) to support the deployment of advanced automation and robotic systems within operational environments. This is a hands-on role requiring a technically capable, adaptable, and proactive individual who can oversee installation activities, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure projects are delivered to the highest quality standards within challenging timelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and quality-assure the work completed by third-party contractors, installers, and assembly teams.
  • Coordinate deployment, installation, and configuration activities for automation and robotic systems.
  • Troubleshoot software, hardware, and system integration issues during deployment phases.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to key stakeholders.
  • Identify project risks, develop solutions, and escalate issues where necessary.
  • Create, manage, and update project tickets through internal tracking systems.
  • Ensure project activities are delivered in line with quality standards, deadlines, and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, contractors, vendors, and site personnel to achieve deployment objectives.
  • Support testing, commissioning, and operational readiness of deployed systems.
  • Mentor and support junior team members where required.
  • Contribute to process improvements and act as a technical subject matter expert when appropriate.
Essential Requirements
  • Experience supporting or deploying automation, engineering, robotics, manufacturing, construction, or similar technical projects.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and coordinating onsite activities.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of project deliverables.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
  • Comfortable working on construction or industrial sites and being on your feet for extended periods.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities and business needs.
Additional Candidate Requirements
  • Tentative start date: 17th August.
  • Must hold a valid British Passport.
  • Must be a Flexible individual who is comfortable adapting to changing project requirements and working environments.
Working Environment
  • Fast-paced, project-driven environment.
  • Regular interaction with engineering, operational, and contractor teams.
  • Significant onsite presence required.
  • Overtime may be required depending on project demands.
  • Role involves extensive walking, standing, and occasional lifting of equipment and tools.
Desirable Experience
  • Previous Experience with robotics, automation, mechatronics, manufacturing, warehousing, construction, or engineering projects.
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, or leading technical teams.
  • Engineering, STEM, or related technical qualification.
