Operations Technician (EOT)

A leading global cloud infrastructure provider is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Engineering Operations Technician to join their London-based data centre team. About the Role:

As an EOT, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and safety systems within the data centre. From troubleshooting and preventative maintenance to supporting wider operations and ensuring uptime, you'll play a key role in keeping infrastructure running at peak performance.

What You'll Be Doing:

Operating and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems

Responding to and resolving facility and rack-level issues within SLAs

Supporting routine maintenance tasks (eg HVAC, filter changes, rack power installs)

Conducting root cause analysis of equipment failures

Taking daily operational readings and logging performance data

Managing workflows and inventory via internal systems

Supervising contractors and ensuring safety protocols are followed

Participating in an on-call rotation for emergency response

What We're Looking For:

We're after someone with a solid background in electrical or mechanical maintenance, ideally within a data centre or critical infrastructure environment. You'll need to be proactive, safety-conscious, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team.
