Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Datasphere Specialist with expertise in SAP/SAC to join our team on a 3-6 month hybrid contract based in Coventry. This role involves designing, developing, and operating SAP data cloud platforms, ensuring systems are scalable, reliable, and secure to support business functions.
Responsibilities
- Engage with and provide solutions using SAP data platforms such as SAP Datasphere, SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud, SLT Replication Server, and BW4HANA.
- Implement data integration solutions across a range of SAP and non-SAP technologies.
- Participate in the administration and operational activities related to our data platform.
- Contribute to the development of organisational policies, standards, and guidelines for data platforms.
- Understand business processes, select optimal approaches, assess their effectiveness, and evaluate their relevance for data modelling and data governance.
- Introduce appropriate controls within processes to ensure data handling aligns with company policies regarding privacy, data retention, and security.
- Monitor adherence to data standards and architectures, including aspects of security and compliance.
- Gather stakeholder input, offer constructive feedback, and help prioritise requirements effectively.
- Keep informed about new technologies, industry developments, and best practices in SAP Data Management, Data Engineering, and Cloud Data Solutions.
- Create data connections in SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, and other platforms, administering and operating the Data Platform.
- Lead data preparation, integration, and management tasks in BDC/Datasphere.
- Implement and design best practices for security concepts essential for cloud-native applications.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop secure, scalable, and cost-effective data architectures.
- Utilise monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to improve system reliability and performance.
- Manage SAP releases and maintenance Change Approval Board and Service Management guidelines.
- Promote automation to streamline processes and boost productivity.
- Proficiency in Datasphere, SAP, SAC, BDC.
- Experience in data integration, implementation, and design.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with cloud-native applications and security concepts.
