About the Role
We are seeking a skilled FIX Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and maintaining FIX connectivity between our trading systems and external clients, brokers, and venues. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of financial markets and trading protocols.
Key Responsibilities
FIX Connectivity Management:
? Configure, test, and maintain FIX sessions with clients, brokers, and exchanges.
? Monitor and troubleshoot FIX message flows and connectivity issues in Real Time.
Client Onboarding & Support:
? Assist clients in establishing FIX connections and ensure smooth integration with trading platforms.
? Provide technical support for FIX-related queries and resolve connectivity or protocol issues promptly.
Incident Management:
? Investigate and resolve trade breaks, drop copies, and message discrepancies.
? Escalate complex issues to development or infrastructure teams as needed.
Testing & Certification:
? Conduct FIX certification for new clients and venues.
? Perform regression testing after system upgrades or protocol changes.
Documentation & Compliance:
? Maintain accurate documentation of FIX specifications, connectivity details, and troubleshooting guides.
? Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards for electronic trading.
Required Skills & XP
Technical Skills:
? Strong knowledge of FIX protocol (versions 4.x and 5.x).
? XP with FIX engines (eg, QuickFIX, CameronFIX, or similar).
? Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP) and message parsing tools.
Financial Markets Knowledge:
? Understanding of equities, FX, or derivatives trading workflows.
? Knowledge of order types, execution reports, and market data feeds.
Other Requirements:
? Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
? Strong communication skills for client interaction.
? Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment.
Preferred Qualifications
XP in electronic trading support within an investment bank or brokerage.
Knowledge of Scripting languages (Python, Shell) for automation and log analysis.
Familiarity with OMS/EMS platforms and market connectivity.
