Hours: 40 hours per week. Core working hours Monday-Friday (8:30am-5:30pm)

About the Role:

We are seeking a Project Manager with at least 3 years project delivery experience and a background or strong interest in telecommunications. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of network, infrastructure, and technology projects across the business. Reporting to the Head of Operational Change, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously, ensuring delivery to agreed timescales, budgets, and quality standards. As a senior member of the project team, you will work closely with internal stakeholders, third-party suppliers, and operational teams to drive project success and support business objectives. What you will be doing

Project Delivery

· Manage the delivery of telecoms projects or workstreams end-to-end, including acquisitions, supplier migrations and continuous improvement programmes

· Create and maintain project governance on larger network rollout, infrastructure, or technology migration programmes.

· Continued development and maintaining of project processors within the company.

· Monitor project progress against milestones and flag slippage or issues early.

· Track project costs and budgets and support basic financial reporting.

· Help ensure projects comply with compliance and relevant regulatory/network standards.

Stakeholder & Supplier Coordination

· Act as a day-to-day point of contact for internal teams and suppliers on assigned workstreams.

· Coordinate with suppliers, direct reporting lines or stakeholders, and internal technical teams to keep tasks on track.

· Prepare clear, accurate status updates and reports for project meetings and stakeholders.

Risk & Governance

· Help identify and log project risks and issues and support the team in resolving them.

· Maintain accurate project documentation, including RAID logs, status reports, and meeting notes.

· Follow the organisation's project management methodology and governance processes (PRINCE2, Agile, or hybrid).

Team Support

· Work closely with internal teams to keep projects moving.

· Build a working understanding of relevant internal systems to communicate effectively with internal teams.

· Support resource and scheduling coordination across the project portfolio.

What we are looking for

Essential

· 3 years' experience in a project management role.

· Can demonstrate a working knowledge of project management principles and lifecycles (initiation through closure).

· Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage tasks, trackers, and deadlines accurately.

· Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with colleagues, suppliers, and stakeholders at varying levels.

· Competent user of Project based tools, Excel, and other standard reporting tools.

· Qualified in a recognised project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, APM PMQ)

· Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.

· A proactive and adaptable individual with a willingness to develop new technical and industry knowledge.

· A collaborative team player and confident communicator, capable of building strong working relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and stakeholders.

Desirable

· Working knowledge in the telecommunications industry (e.g. mobile, fixed-line, fibre/FTTP, infrastructure, or managed services).

· Demonstrable experience successfully managing large-scale projects or programmes within the telecommunications sector.

· Direct experience working on telecoms projects, such as network rollouts, supplier migrations, or fibre deployments.

· Certification within a number of project methodologies.

· Awareness of telecoms regulatory considerations (e.g. Ofcom, wayleaves) or health & safety frameworks (e.g. CDM Regulations).

· Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Telecommunications, Business, or a related field.
