Java AWS Developer Engineer Hybrid Hampshire

A leading IT Consultancy is seeking Java AWS Developer Engineers on a contract basis to work on a project with a Financial Services client.

You will be required to work onsite in Farnborough 2 times per week. Please DO NOT apply unless you can commit to this.

Experience/Skills Required:

- Java 17, 21

- Junit 5, Cucumber

- Spring Boot 3, 4

- Tooling (Gradle, GitHub, Nexus, Artifactory, Sonar, Jacoco)

- Kafka

- Kubernetes, Helm

- Databases (Preferably HBase, PostgreSQL)

- Jenkins and CICD

Work Profile for First 6 months:

- Migrate on-premises services to OCP in AWS.

- Update pipelines to use in-house Trident solution.

- Upgrade all components from Spring Boot 3.5 to 4.

- Creation of new services or data sinks that are single responsibility and publish/consume from Kafka.

- Service decommissions.

- BAU work.
