The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong track record within the ICT infrastructure sector, combined with proven leadership capability. Effective communication and influencing skills are essential, enabling collaboration with both internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare client proposals, including quotations and technical/commercial assessments to support sales teams in evaluating project viability, risks, and opportunities.
  • Lead and coordinate internal resources to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of tender submissions and design outputs.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and commercial teams to deliver comprehensive and competitive tender responses.
  • Support the development of account strategies, including pricing and commercial approaches for key clients.
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, contractors, and consultants, representing the business in design meetings and presentations.
  • Produce accurate pre-contract documentation and manage review processes to identify and mitigate risk.
  • Support post-contract activities, including managing design changes, variations, and ensuring compliance with change control procedures.
  • Review and validate cost proposals and Bills of Materials (BoMs), ensuring alignment with internal governance and stakeholder approvals.
  • Oversee the production of detailed design documentation, including layouts, schematics, and technical drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Maintain awareness of relevant industry standards and ensure alignment with evolving data centre and structured cabling requirements.
  • Conduct peer reviews to ensure quality, reduce risk, and support the development of junior team members.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior staff, contributing to overall team capability and performance.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in ICT and telecommunications infrastructure, particularly structured cabling systems.
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale or hyperscale data centre projects.
  • Ability to produce and present technical information clearly and confidently to clients and stakeholders.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in producing detailed design documentation.

Desirable (not essential):

  • Industry-recognised certifications (e.g. RCDD, CNIDP, CDCP)
  • Manufacturer-specific training or accreditations
