IT Technician Apprentice

We are looking for an apprentice technician to provide customers with assistance on computer systems. The successful; candidate will answer queries on basic technical issues and offer advice to solve them. A varied and interesting role, if you are interested please apply today!

Role

  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance
  • Perform troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers
  • Walk the customer through the problem-solving process
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
  • Provide accurate information on IT products or services
  • Follow company procedures, continue to develop and improve these 
  • Record events and problems and their resolution, follow-up and update customer status and information
  • Design, build and supply the solution, to fix the problem or overcome the difficulties the customer is experiencing
  • Produce the invoice and charge the customer for the services and products they have received

Person specification

  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues in a structured manner
  • Fluent in natural English with good written communication skills
  • Patient, customer-oriented and cool-tempered
  • Smart and presentable within a corporate environment
  • Car Driver
  • Trustworthy

Training

  • Information Communication Technician Level 3
  • Remote training delivery

  • 6 hours of dedicated training time every week

Possible full time permanent position upon completion of the apprenticeship.
