The IT Technician is an entry-level IT support role focused on delivering excellent customer service, maintaining user devices and systems, supporting IT projects, and helping Grace Eyre staff make effective use of technology across the organisation.

Role

The IT Technician is an entry-level IT support role focused on delivering excellent customer service, maintaining user devices and systems, supporting IT projects, and helping Grace Eyre staff make effective use of technology across the organisation.

  • To assist the IT Manager and IT Infrastructure Manager with all aspects of the IT systems utilised by Grace Eyre.
  • To answer the IT Helpdesk phone line and to monitor the IT Helpdesk email account.
  • To visit Grace Eyre locations around Sussex to provide IT Support when remote support is not possible or viable.
  • To provide basic training on systems that Grace Eyre uses to other non-technical members of the organisation.
  • To provide input and collaborate on IT Projects with the other members of the IT department.
  • To proactively undertake training where applicable to improve ability to support relevant IT systems utilised by Grace Eyre.
  • To assist in the repair and configuration of IT related hardware such as Laptops, Desktop PC’s and Smartphones.

Training

  • ICT (Information Communications Technician) Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard.
  • You will also receive full training and support from the Just IT apprenticeship team to increase your skills.
  • Your training will include gaining a Level 3 IT qualification. Training schedule has yet to be agreed.
