IT SUPPORT APPRENTICE
As an IT Apprentice, you will support the day-to-day running of the school’s IT systems, helping ensure reliable, secure, and effective technology use across teaching, learning, and administration. You will gain hands-on experience while working alongside experienced IT staff.
Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line technical support to staff and students (hardware, software, and network issues)
- Assist with the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, and classroom technology
- Support the management of user accounts, passwords, and access permissions
- Help maintain and monitor the school’s network infrastructure and systems
- Assist with installation and updates of software and security patches
- Support classroom technology including interactive whiteboards, projectors, and online learning platforms
- Contribute to maintaining online safety and safeguarding standards across IT systems
- Log and track IT support requests, ensuring timely resolution
- Assist in IT projects such as system upgrades or new technology rollouts

- Level 3 Information Communications Technician Apprenticeship Standard
- You will receive full training and support from the Just IT Apprenticeship team to increase your skills
