IT SUPPORT APPRENTICE

As an IT Apprentice, you will support the day-to-day running of the school’s IT systems, helping ensure reliable, secure, and effective technology use across teaching, learning, and administration. You will gain hands-on experience while working alongside experienced IT staff.

Role

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support to staff and students (hardware, software, and network issues)
  • Assist with the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, and classroom technology
  • Support the management of user accounts, passwords, and access permissions
  • Help maintain and monitor the school’s network infrastructure and systems
  • Assist with installation and updates of software and security patches
  • Support classroom technology including interactive whiteboards, projectors, and online learning platforms
  • Contribute to maintaining online safety and safeguarding standards across IT systems
  • Log and track IT support requests, ensuring timely resolution
  • Assist in IT projects such as system upgrades or new technology rollouts

  • Level 3 Information Communications Technician Apprenticeship Standard
  • You will receive full training and support from the Just IT Apprenticeship team to increase your skills
