Full-stack Engineer (AI Focused) – London

A fast-growing AI-native enterprise software startup is hiring two experienced Full-stack Engineers in London. The company builds a sophisticated AI workspace tailored to financial modelling, private equity, consultancies and asset managers, with live production deployments at leading institutions.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing and maintaining modern frontend web apps using React / Next.js
• Developing robust backend services and APIs, preferably in Python (Django, FastAPI, etc.)
• Owning large parts of the AI agent infrastructure: building and deploying multi-agent systems, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, model fine-tuning and evaluation frameworks
• Ensuring that AI-powered features run in production at scale — with high reliability, performance and security
• Contributing to cloud infrastructure, containerisation, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and optimisation
• Collaborating closely with founders, designers, growth and engineering teams to deliver mission-critical, high-impact features
• Mentoring junior engineers and promoting engineering best practices

What they’re looking for

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Solid, hands-on experience with React / Next.js in production environments
• Strong backend development skills (Python preferred) and familiarity with databases (relational or NoSQL)
• Experience with Git, DevOps tooling, containerisation, CI/CD, caching or messaging systems (Redis, task queues, background workers)
• Previous experience building and deploying AI/LLM-powered systems , especially involving RAG pipelines, model fine-tuning and evaluation
• A structured, proactive approach to problem solving, and comfort working in a fast-paced, high-ambition startup environment
