IT Support Apprentice

You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience as you complete a IT systems and Networking - Cloud Support Specialist - Level 3 Apprenticeship. Duties will include; to work on the Helpdesk dealing with customer’s IT issues and ensure helpdesk systems, logs and records are kept up to date.

Role

  • To provide an initial analysis and work to provide a first fix for the customer whenever possible.
  • Escalate issues and alert a senior member of staff as appropriate
  • Be aware of Service Level Agreements and monitor performance against them
  • Be able to diagnose technical faults quickly and accurately using the remote access diagnostic tools available.

QA’s Azure Cloud Support Specialist Level 3 apprenticeship programme enables the apprentice to:

  • Learn on-premise and cloud-enabled technologies and services
  • Learn technical content that aligns to and is relevant to employers and the market
  • Gain an Azure Fundamentals Qualification and a Microsoft 365 fundamentals qualification
  • Get an introduction to Windows, Linux and PowerShell

Tools and technologies learned: Learners will learn to use Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows 10, AWS, Linux, PowerShell.

Most apprentices end up staying with the business for the long term.  As an employer we are happy to continue to support learning, this can mean going from Level 3 to Level 4 or above.  We are currently supporting apprentices through degrees and a Masters track also available.  We look for candidates that like to continue to learn and progress throughout their career.
