Technical Business Analyst
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven and analytical Technical Business Analyst to join a growing IT team based in Kings Hill, Kent, with a hybrid working setup. This is an excellent role for a Technical Business Analyst who enjoys working closely with both operational and technical teams, translating business needs into high-quality technical solutions.This role offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to make a real impact on business change and continuous improvement.About the role This Technical Business Analyst role will report into the Systems Design Manager and will play a key part in transforming business requirements into actionable technical design documents for development and delivery teams.The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders, operational business analysts, developers, and test analysts to support change delivery across the organisation.Key responsibilities include:
- Gathering and analysing requirements from key stakeholders
- Reviewing and understanding operational user stories and translating them into technical documentation
- Creating technical design documents, specifications, roadmaps, project plans and manuals
- Supporting workshops and requirement elicitation sessions
- Producing test scripts and supporting test planning and execution
- Ensuring acceptance criteria is met through clear solution design
- Managing change control processes and project documentation
- Escalating challenges and providing suggested resolutions
- Supporting out-of-hours implementation testing (approximately once per week)
- Providing support with IT requests where required (training provided)
- Assisting with system administration and remote office IT support
- Process analysis and continuous improvement
- Facilitating workshops and gathering requirements
- Creating user stories, technical specifications and design documentation
- Stakeholder management and cross-team collaboration
- Waterfall, Agile and/or Kanban development methodologies
- Working within a change control environment
- Creating project documentation including roadmaps and technical plans
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Excellent written communication and documentation skills
- High attention to detail
- Confident communicator able to explain technical options clearly
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Azure DevOps or ClickUp experience (beneficial)
- SQL knowledge (beneficial)
- Exposure to C#, Classic ASP or Java (beneficial)
- Understanding of mortgage processes (beneficial)
