Your role
A Technical Delivery Manager is required to join the organization to work closely with organizations in the energy and commodities sector. You will work alongside highly collaborative, forward-thinking technologists who enjoy working in an environment that values continuous learning and results. Working closely with the CTO, Delivery Teams, and CEO, you will be responsible for delivering complex IT projects for clients, mainly in the energy and financial services sectors. The role is very people-centric; you must have excellent interpersonal skills to liaise effectively across all stakeholder levels to ensure smooth project delivery.
You will demonstrate credibility with clients through your technical experience and up-to-date knowledge of modern frameworks, enterprise development patterns, and tools/techniques currently in use.
Key duties will include:
- Overseeing all aspects of bespoke software development; responsibilities include planning, leading, organizing, and motivating small agile teams to achieve high performance.
- Managing the delivery of one or more projects, potentially with teams across multiple sites in the UK, US, and India.
- Collaborating with management to resolve issues and acting as an escalation point for project teams and clients.
- Ensuring clients are billed accurately according to resource plans.
Qualifications and experience:
- Strong experience in delivering software development solutions (greenfield and brownfield) using Agile methodologies.
- Experience across various platforms, including data, multi-cloud environments, demonstrating technical creativity to exceed client expectations.
- Experience or exposure to Energy, Commodities, and preferably Financial Services sectors.
- Solid understanding of SDLC models and agile principles and practices such as Scrum, Kanban, Nexus, SAFe, LESS, and DSDM, supported by strong academic credentials, typically in Computer Science or related fields.
- Client-focused, positive, creative, and collaborative in finding the right technology solutions.
- Proven leadership skills in hiring, motivating, and creating productive, ethical teams.
