Engineering Operative Apprenticeship
A fantastic opportunity is available to join the world’s leading quartz manufacturer for the semiconductor industry. Within this area of expertise, our customers take silicon wafers through the process of becoming computer chips. With this we produce & ship our products all over the world.
Role
- Work one-on-one with the Manufacturing Specialist to learn the specialised skill set.
- Work with quartz glass and to check & inspect your work.
- Follow a designed program.
- Perform machining operations to manufacture production and prototype quartz components to precise dimensions.
- Inspect machining operations and finished products.
- Perform cleaning, grinding, cutting, and washing operations.
- Using CNC and manual machine centres, as well as hands on manual fabricating work.
- Report time and material movements in ERP system as required.
- Maintain a safe, organised, and clean work area.
Training
Engineering Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard;
- Certificate in Engineering Operations (Knowledge)
- Diploma in Engineering Operations (Skills)
From September, training will be day release to Derwentside College, Consett.
Potential progression within the team. Potential for progression within offsite learning and further studies.
