Apprenticeship Engineering Fitter Level 3
With TAS you'll learn a wide range of electrical engineering schematics, a great start for a career in electrical engineering. Duties under supervision include (but are not limited to): Wire and crimp cables as per electrical schematics issued, layout, drill and tap backboard to a specified design, drill and cut door for all furniture.
Role
- Interpret electrical schematic drawings / specification to build control panels
- Mark up control panels and prepare for mechanical fixing
- Populating and laying out control panels. Wiring control panels & testing of built control panels
Training
Level 3 Installation and maintenance electrician apprenticeship standard. Course held at York College on one day release. Apprenticeship at Total Automated Solutions, Tockwith YO26 7QF.
- Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification
- Functional Skills in maths and English if required
Apprenticeship could lead to full-time employment as a junior engineer.
