IT SUPPORT APPRENTICE
We’re looking to add an apprentice into the fold: after holding numerous apprentice placements over our 15-year history, we know that the right candidate will succeed in learning the vital foundations needed for a career in IT.
Role
- Diagnose and fix hardware and software faults, both remotely and face-to-face. Install and configure computers, printers, mobile devices and software.
- How networks, Wi-Fi, cabling and cloud services work in a real business environment, including setting up storage and managing data access.
- Keep systems and data safe. Manage passwords, access permissions and encryption. Understand disaster recovery plans and how to respond when things go wrong. Learning GDPR Law and how to look after business’s information securely.
- Introduction to cloud platforms, including our own in-house built servers, and how modern businesses rely on virtualisation and cloud-based services day to day.
- Work confidently with customers and colleagues, manage workloads, log faults clearly and know when to escalate an issue.
- Build confidence, keep up with new technology and take ownership of your own learning and career growth throughout the program.
Training
- ICT (Information Communications Technician) Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
- You will also receive full training and support from the Just IT apprenticeship team to increase your skills
- Your training will include gaining a Level 3 IT qualification
- Training schedule has yet to be agreed
Potential full-time position for the right candidate after completion of the apprenticeship.
