We’re supporting a well-known insurance organisation currently undergoing a major companywide transformation. As they transition from an on-premise environment to a fully cloud based model, strengthening and maturing their security posture has become mission critical.
As the Security Operations Manager, you’ll assess the organisation’s current security estate and lead efforts to mature the function, focusing on Driving improvement across SOC, processes, documentation, reporting, tooling, partner management and internal engagement. The environment is heavily Microsoft driven, leveraging the full Microsoft 365 E5 security stack, alongside tools such as Elastic and Qualys.
You’ll join a small but growing security function and report directly into the CISO.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversight of SOC operations and driving improvements, including third party management, RFPs, and potential migrations
- Enhancing incident reporting processes - improving visibility, response quality, and reporting standards
- Reviewing and optimising vulnerability management tooling
- Driving process improvement and maturing operational security workflows
- Implementing and improving DLP capabilities
- Building strong internal relationships and taking the business on the security journey
You’ll need proven experience across the areas listed above, as well as:
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft security stack (Defender, E5, etc.) Working across a hybrid cloud environment (Azure primarily, with a platform in AWS)
- A self starter mindset with the ability to work proactively
- Highly collaborative approach and be able to get in the detail
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with technical and non technical.
