Cyber Security Specialist (Nuclear)
Responsible for protecting critical nuclear systems, infrastructure, and data from cyber threats. Ensures compliance with strict regulatory standards while maintaining the safety, security, and resilience of nuclear operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, detect, and respond to cyber threats across nuclear IT and OT (Operational Technology) systems
- Implement and maintain security controls for critical infrastructure
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Ensure compliance with nuclear and cybersecurity regulations (e.g., NIS, IEC 62443)
- Support incident response and recovery planning
- Collaborate with engineering and safety teams to integrate cybersecurity into nuclear operations
- Maintain security documentation, audits, and risk assessments
Key Skills & Experience:
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, tools, and frameworks
- Experience with industrial control systems (ICS/SCADA) security
- Familiarity with risk management and threat analysis
- Understanding of network security, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Knowledge of nuclear sector regulations (desirable)
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) preferred
