Overview

We're looking for an experienced Lead Tech Architect with deep Azure expertise and a strong background in secure cloud solution design. You'll play a critical role in shaping cloud architecture aligned with NCSC principles, strengthening security posture, and guiding the delivery of modern cloud services across a complex environment.

• Travel:
  • ~1× per month to London for team meetings/workshops
  • Ad hoc London visits for conferences and departmental engagement

Core Technical Skills

• Azure-focused cloud architecture & infrastructure
• Solution architecture and technical design
• Security & compliance: aligning solutions with NCSC cloud security principles
• Knowledge of UK GDPR, Data Protection Act, classification policies, and network security

Azure & Cloud Technologies

• Azure Active Directory (AAD) / Entra ID
• Azure SQL
• Identity & access management (IAM)
• Cloud networking & hybrid connectivity
• Application hosting
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Development & Operations

• Automation using:
  • Microsoft 365
  • DSC
  • Maestro
  • PowerShell
  • PowerBI
