Delivery Manager - Data Migration

Location: Remote, with occasional/ad hoc travel to client sites
Rate: Up to £468 per day
Contract: 6-month rolling contract
Clearance: BPSS required

We are looking for an experienced Delivery Manager to join a Data Migration team supporting a major Government/Public Sector transformation programme.

You will take ownership of delivery across key migration workstreams, coordinating technical and business teams, managing risks and dependencies, and ensuring successful delivery against programme milestones.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead delivery across data migration activities, ensuring scope, milestones and outcomes are achieved.
• Manage delivery plans, RAID logs, dependencies and reporting.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineers, Architects, Business Analysts and Test teams.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and provide effective delivery governance.
• Identify and resolve delivery risks, issues and blockers.
• Manage stakeholder communications across internal teams, the client and third-party suppliers.
• Track progress and provide regular updates to programme leadership.
• Support planning, release management and transition activities.

Essential Experience

• Proven Delivery Manager experience within large-scale digital transformation programmes.
• Strong experience delivering data migration projects.
• Experience managing technical teams in Agile environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong experience managing risks, dependencies and delivery reporting.

• Previous UK Government or wider Public Sector experience.
• Experience working within a major systems integrator or large consultancy.
• Knowledge of cloud migration, data integration or legacy modernisation.
• Familiarity with GDS ways of working.
