Job Title: Cloud Data Platform Specialist (SC Cleared)
Role Type: Contract
Length: 6 months initial
Location: Cardiff, Wales (Occasional visits onsite)
Summary
Our client is looking for an SC Cleared Cloud Data Platform Specialist to support and administer modern Microsoft data platform services within a controlled operational environment.
This role is focused on platform administration, reliability, operations and environment management rather than data science or analytics development.
Responsibilities
- Strong platform administration experience across Microsoft cloud data technologies, including Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL and Power BI.
- Operational mindset with experience managing, monitoring and supporting data platforms in production environments.
- Experience working in controlled delivery environments using Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code, ideally Terraform.
- Experience with integration platforms, ideally Salesforce MuleSoft.
Key Skills & Experience
- Current SC Clearance.
- Hands-on administration experience across Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL and Power BI.
- Strong understanding of cloud data platform operations, monitoring, access management and environment support.
- Experience working within controlled or secure environments using Azure DevOps.
- Infrastructure as code experience, ideally with Terraform.
- Experience supporting integration platforms, ideally Salesforce MuleSoft.
- Ability to work from an operational, platform-focused perspective rather than a data science-focused role.
