Data Analyst | Public Sector Digital Transformation

Location: Remote with occasional travel to client sites as required
Contract: Initial 6-month contract with rolling extensions
Rate: Up to £435 per day (Inside IR35)
Clearance: BPSS required

We are supporting a major public sector digital transformation programme and are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join a high-profile government initiative focused on delivering improved citizen services through data-driven decision making.

Working within a modern AWS-based technology environment, you will play a key role in analysing complex datasets, generating meaningful insights, and supporting programme teams with data-led recommendations. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a large-scale transformation programme that is helping shape the future of public services.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Data Analyst within large-scale digital transformation programmes.
• Strong public sector experience, ideally within central government environments.
• Advanced SQL skills with experience analysing large and complex datasets.
• Strong experience developing dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI or similar tools.
• Excellent data analysis, validation and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Ability to communicate complex analytical findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working within AWS-based technology environments.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality and reporting best practices.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience delivering within central government organisations.
• Experience supporting health, benefits or citizen-facing services.
• Knowledge of AWS analytics and reporting services.
• Exposure to Java-based application environments and associated data structures.
