F5 Migration Architect

Job Title: Migration Architect (F5/Network Security)

Job Type: Contract

Length: 12 Months

Our client is looking for an experienced Migration Architect to lead the design and delivery of complex F5 migration programmes, supporting the transition from Legacy platforms to modern rSeries architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute migration strategies from Viprion and iSeries to rSeries
• Lead vCMP guest migrations to r5800 platforms across LTM, AFM, and DNS
• Support workload transitions, including AFM to FortiGate and LTM to rSeries guests
• Manage and support migration activities across multiple delivery phases
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues throughout design, testing, and implementation

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience with F5 Viprion, iSeries, and rSeries
• Strong expertise in LTM, AFM, DNS/GTM, vCMP, and traffic management
• Proven background delivering large-scale F5 migrations
• Experience migrating Firewall services, particularly AFM to FortiGate
• Able to produce high-quality HLDs, LLDs, and as-built documentation
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
