IT Category Manager

We're Hiring: IT Category Manager | Leeds | Hybrid

Are you a procurement professional with a passion for IT We're working with a leading organisation in the energy and infrastructure sector to find a talented IT Category Manager to join their dynamic team based in Leeds.

Location: Thorpe Park, Leeds (Hybrid working)

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Sector: Energy / Infrastructure / Engineering

Salary: Circa £60,000 based on experience.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering value across IT and indirect procurement categories. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure optimal value, compliance, and risk management across third-party contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead sourcing and procurement of IT and indirect services, ensuring value for money and quality.
• Manage end-to-end procurement processes including tendering, negotiation, and contract management.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements across the portfolio.
• Build and maintain strong supplier and stakeholder relationships.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, HSEQ standards, and information security protocols.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience in IT procurement
• Strong commercial acumen and contract negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and project management abilities.
• CIPS Level 4 (minimum), working towards Level 6.
• Experience with SAP and e-tendering systems is a plus.
