Job Title: Platform Engineer

Role Type: Contract

Contract Length: 6 months initial

Location: Telford (Hybrid)

Our client is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to join their transformation journey as they modernise and sustain a critical integration estate supporting hundreds of billions of secure transactions annually.

Responsibilities:

• Lead infrastructure operations with a focus on physical kit and Linux server management
• Maintain resilient, secure system communications
• Support legacy systems while enabling future transformation

Key Experience:

• Strong hands-on technical leadership with ITIL-aligned service management
• Deep expertise in networking, hardware, virtualization, storage, and cyber tooling
• Proven experience with Windows/Linux environments, AD, DNS, PKI, Exchange, SQL, and more
• Skilled in incident response, vulnerability patching, SIEM, CI/CD, and IAM
